  • What is the advantage of using SP Connect as a Service Provider?

    As a registered service provider of SP Connect, we bring customers to you via an online quotation system and you will have a chance to respond to those quotations. We will market your services on your behalf.

  • As a Service Provider, how much do I pay to use SP Connect and how does the Payment system work?

    There is no cost to register with SP Connect, as well as no cost to receive and to submit quotations in response to Customer Quotation Requests.

    As and when your quotation has been accepted by a Customer and the work has been completed, SP Connect will invoice the Customer on your behalf.
    Once the Customer pays for the service and the funds have cleared SP Connect’s Bank Account, the payment less the SP Connect Service Fee of 2.5%, plus Banking charges (approximately 3.5%), will be transferred into the Bank Account that you have supplied, within 3 Business Days.

  • If I need to visit the site in order to give an accurate quotation can I request a call out fee from the customer?

    Yes, you can request a call out fee which will cover the cost for an on site visitation.

    When you received a quotation request you can specify this and once you have been out to view the site you can then login once again and update the quotation accordingly.

  • Who do I contact if I have queries related to Payment?

  • What happens if a customer refuses to pay?

    Any agreement between a Customer and a Service Provider regarding the provision of services is solely between the Customer and the Service Provider. SP Connect is not a party to any such agreement.
    Issues concerning non-payment by a Customer, must be resolved directly by the Service Provider and the Customer.

    SP Connect will monitor this situation and if it is deemed that the Customer has broken an obligation to pay for services, without a valid and acceptable reason, "SP Connect" reserves the right to immediately terminate the Customer’s access to all or part of the SP Connect Site.

  • What do I do if the services I offer are not in the Service selection list?

  • How do I update my profile?

    Please refer to "update profile" link at top of the Page, once you have logged on successfully.

  • Can I put my account on hold if I take leave?

    If you take leave and would like your account disabled during that period of time, please email us at info@spconnect.co.za with your dates and we will disable your account. When you return please send us an email confirmation and we will reactivate your account.

  • Can I ask the customer to pay a deposit prior to the work commencing?

    Yes, you can.

    When you receive a Quotation Request, our system has the functionality for you to respond to that Quotation Request with a request for a 'deposit' if this is required. This will cover any costs required for materials, prior to the commencement of work.

    Please ensure that you specify this in the comments when submitting the quotation so that there is no misunderstanding between yourself and the customer.

    Once the customer agrees to this and approves the quote, this becomes a binding contract between yourself and the customer.

    Once you have viewed the site you will be able to log into your profile and update the quotation accordingly and if the customer accepts the updated quotation, you can then carry out the work and complete the job.

  • What is the purpose of Recurring Jobs and how does it work?

    Recurring Jobs are used for Work that is the same in nature and is required to be carried out more than once. Examples are Au-Pair, Caring, Cleaning or Gardening Services. As a Service Provider, request payment after each job is finished. Only reflect the Job as complete, once there is no longer a requirement for you to perform the Job/Service.

  • What documents do I need to upload in order to become a fully fledged service provider?

    You will need to upload a clear copy of your official Identity Document. If you have a foreign Identity Document then you will be required to upload a copy of that plus a copy of your South African working permit.
